Forest Management & Maintenance
Holistic Support for Forest Owners
Our focus is on active and sustainable management, the organization of timber harvesting, professional forest management, and forest maintenance contracts.
The Styrian Forest Association supports forest owners in active and sustainable management. From organizing timber harvesting and forest maintenance to purchasing logging and professional maintenance services, the association provides comprehensive expertise. The goal is to secure the economic and ecological future of the forest and create a stable livelihood for future generations.
Active Management
The most important aspect guiding members of the Styrian Forest Association is the conviction to actively manage forests. Economics plays just as important a role here as ecology. Forestry in Styria supplies a large number of companies with a valuable raw material and secures numerous jobs in production and processing.
Sustainable management
Sustainable management means a closed cycle of growth and harvest. This naturally includes the renewal of forest stands. Together with our partners, we offer carefully selected plant material to ensure site-appropriate and climate-fit forests grow for the future. Our forest farmers are committed to ensuring a sustainable livelihood for our region.
Timber Harvesting Organization
With a one-stop shop, the Forest Association offers a single point of contact for consulting, planning, and quality control of timber harvesting. Minimum requirements for the use of machinery in timber harvesting in general, and especially in small-scale forests, include professional work preparation, organization, and efficient monitoring, as well as consequences for deviations from specifications. The Forest Association attaches a very high priority to quality assurance during timber harvesting.
Log Purchase
Work quality is always our top priority. We also handle the entire organization – from timber harvesting to marketing. After harvesting, we manage the timely transport of the timber to the industry. The timber harvesters employed are selected according to strict criteria, and the quality of their work is subject to constant monitoring.
Support is provided individually according to the needs of the forest owners and ranges from individual measures to holistic management concepts.
