Information, advice, and service
Your reliable partner for forestry
Our organizational focus is on our forest helpers as a hub, an exchange of expertise, comprehensive services for timber sales and logistics, forest management and maintenance, as well as information, advice, and service. We also organize numerous continuing education and information events for our members.
Forest volunteers as a hub
Forest volunteers represent the most important link between the Styrian Forest Association and our members. Knowledge of forest management, a holistic view, often managing a forest themselves, personal experience in timber harvesting, and a large information network are the key factors for a forest volunteer’s success.
Exchange of Expertise
Regional forest associations and forest management associations organize timber meetings and forestry practice days for their members throughout the year in their respective regions. Reports on the current situation on the timber market are the focus of these informational events. Knowledge of the market situation today often influences members‘ timber harvesting activities. Being predictable for timber buyers leads to a strengthened market position for forest owners as raw material suppliers. Technical input – usually presentations by experts – rounds out the program at the timber meetings. These usually focus on current topics that are of particular concern to forest farmers.
Service
The logistics module ensures the flow of information, control, and transparency for roundwood deliveries from members of the Styrian Forest Association to the wood processing industry by displaying them on a digital delivery note.
The billing module handles all accounting for wood purchases and services. Credit notes for wood deliveries are issued through the system, as are service provider credit notes and invoices.
Events
With its events, the Styrian Forest Association sets special priorities, highlights future topics, and puts the community first.
The Forest Farmers‘ Day is the largest event in the Styrian forestry industry, attracting more than 500 visitors each year. The primary goal of our events is to provide members with guidance and security in their work.
The Styrian Forest Association’s management sees itself, among other things, as an information hub for Styrian forest owners.
